About

From Boulogne
to New Orleans.

A French and Canadian student, a tennis player, and someone who likes having a project to work on.

Augustin Patte

I grew up in Boulogne-Billancourt, near Paris, where I attended Lycée Notre-Dame de Boulogne and developed as a tennis player at TCBB. In 2025, I moved to the United States to combine university studies with competitive tennis. My first year was at Lawrence Technological University in Michigan; I then transferred to Loyola University New Orleans in 2026.

At Loyola, I am pursuing a double major in Finance and Business Analytics, with a minor in Computer Science. I want a strong understanding of businesses and their decisions, alongside the ability to work with data and build the tools that help make sense of it.

My interests in programming and AI developed through independent learning and personal projects. Some began as small experiments; others, such as IAProTech and PersoNewsAP, became more substantial work. I enjoy the process of taking a broad idea, defining what it should do and finding out what is required to make it work.

During summer 2026, I joined IQVIA Operations France as a Corporate Development intern. The experience brought those interests into a professional setting, including the independent development of an internal CRM prototype. It gave me a more practical perspective on how structured information and software fit into a team’s daily work.

Education and experience

Outside the résumé

What I spend time on.

01

Tennis

Training and competition have been part of my life for years. I enjoy the individual challenge of a match and the different responsibility that comes with representing a university team. Rafael Nadal is the athlete I have most looked up to.

02

Reading and long conversations

I’m drawn to books about athletes, business leaders and the decisions behind their paths. I also listen to long-form business and entrepreneurship conversations, including GDIY, and follow discussions about technology and AI.

03

Coding and product development

I like working on a product that gives the learning a purpose. News, privacy, chess and games have all become reasons to explore a new technical problem.

04

Finance and business

I want to understand how companies operate, how capital is allocated and how a decision becomes visible in the numbers. Analytics and programming give me another way to explore those questions.

05

Writing

Writing lets me examine the sporting experience from another angle. Under the pen name Andrew Pace, I have published three books in French and English about sport and the decisions around it.
